Gwynedd Council , Senior Project Manager
Lisa Goodier is a Senior Project Manager in Gwynedd Council’s Flood & Coastal Erosion Risk Management Team. She leads Fairbourne: Moving Forward and Cysur Community Interest Company project, an initiative addressing housing blight in a community affected by climate change.
With a passion for disadvantaged communities and a public-private-voluntary background, she has worked with organisations such as the Department for Work and Pensions, HM Prison Service, Development Agencies, Sector Skills Councils and county and city councils and of course, Welsh Government.
Having worked with a number of communities affected by flooding in North Wales, Lisa caught the climate change bug whilst working in Fairbourne, seeing first-hand, the social and economic devastation created by a lack of meaningful education about how climate change really affects communities. Since then, she has been a strong advocate of climate justice and climate governance, and hopes that the work in Fairbourne will provide a framework for others to use in their spatial, social and financial planning.
